Corrugated Inserts and Dividers: The Engineering Inside the Box

A divider turns one box into many compartments; an insert suspends a product away from the box walls. Both are die-cut corrugated parts, and their geometry sets the protection level.

The Scenario: Six bottles, one broken

A beverage brand shipped six glass bottles per case with loose corrugated sheets between them. One bottle in six cases arrived broken, and every case rattled.

The Solution: Cells that hold the story

The brand replaced the sheets with a die-cut cell divider:

1. Individual bottle cells Each bottle gets its own compartment, so glass never touches glass.

2. Suspension clearance Insert walls hold bottles off the box floor and walls, absorbing shock.

3. Presentation geometry The same divider presents bottles upright at shelf — the divider does double duty.

The Result: Zero breaks, better unboxing

Breakage fell to zero over two shipping quarters, and distributors noted the upright, organized presentation. The divider became the brand's standard case interior.
