Most corrugated boxes start as flat sheets that get scored, slotted, and folded. Slotting cuts the straight slots and scores that make the classic RSC (regular slotted container), while die-cutting uses a custom die to cut complex shapes — displays, die-cut trays, and special closures. The choice is economics: slotting is fast and cheap for straight lines, die-cutting earns its cost on complexity.
